Laser beam shoots at a slight angle / Beam angle not centered, is this normal?

It is completely normal for a hand held laser to point at an angle outside of the casing aperture.
Since it is a hand held laser, the laser beam is not guaranteed to be parallel to the host as the user simply aims it to were they need it to point.
However it should not be enough so that it hits the edge of the cover cap and distorts the beam/dot.
