Can your lasers melt ice or cut glass?

No, they cannot.

Lasers emit concentrated light and not heat. It is fully dependent upon power output, non-movement of the contact point, distance, time and the material it is pointing at to determine how hot it gets.

Clear glass or ice lets a percentage of the lasers beam pass through it while light colored materials(paper, snow, white ceilings) reflect or scatter the energy of the lasers beam.

Dark colored materials absorb most or all of the lasers light beam energy and convert it to heat. High powered hand held lasers can easily burn through materials such as plastic, dark paper, wood, leather and cloth.

Therefore the temperature at the point of contact can easily reach 600 degrees Fahrenheit.
